Premium faux leather B2 is the all-rounder for commercial premium cushion covers and regular outdoor use. The material and hygiene properties are high-quality: highly water-repellent, disinfectant-resistant, resistant to oil, sweat, saliva, chlorinated and salt water, and cold-resistant down to −29 °C. B2 is classified as normally flammable according to DIN 4102 and is suitable for many premium applications – hotels, restaurants, saunas, pools, bistros, boat upholstery, practices and outdoor cushion covers.
Premium faux leather B1 is the special variant for areas with B1 requirements. B1 is flame-retardant according to DIN 4102 and is mainly used where this fire protection class is required by law, project specification or tender – for example in hospitals, care homes, larger public institutions or assembly venues.

For cushion covers that are used regularly outdoors, we recommend premium faux leather B1 or B2. Both fabrics are highly water-repellent, lightfast and UV-resistant according to EN ISO 105 B02. They are suitable for garden furniture, terrace lounges, outdoor seating areas, balconies, pool areas, conservatories and protected garden lounge furniture.
For covered outdoor areas such as conservatories, pergolas, awnings or protected terraces, Mali and standard faux leather are also suitable depending on the level of use. We mainly recommend Panama for indoor areas or permanently protected outdoor areas.
Note on waterproofness: because Lekoni® cushion covers are fitted with a removable zipper, they are not 100 % waterproof for design reasons. Premium faux leather B1/B2 is highly water-repellent and withstands moisture well, but should be stored in a protected place during heavy rain, continuous rain and overnight.

Which fabric is right for my cushion cover?
For living rooms, sofas, armchairs and bedrooms, Panama is the most frequently chosen option – easy-care, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and the bestseller at Lekoni®. Mali is suitable for more heavily used sofa cushions, hotels and covered lounge areas. Faux leather is ideal for hotel lobbies, bar areas, bistros and areas with frequent cleaning. For commercial premium use and regular outdoor use, we recommend premium faux leather B2. Premium B1 is the special variant for areas where B1 fire protection class is required.
What is the difference between premium faux leather B1 and B2?
The material quality, hygiene properties and water repellency are high-quality in both premium faux leathers: highly water-repellent, disinfectant-resistant, cold-resistant down to −29 °C and resistant to many types of stress in commercial use. The main difference lies in the fire protection class according to DIN 4102: B2 is normally flammable and suitable for many premium applications. B1 is flame-retardant and the right choice when this fire protection class is required.
Are Lekoni® cushion covers washable?
Yes, all cushion covers have a high-quality zipper and are fully removable. Panama and Mali pillow covers are machine washable at 30 °C.
