For regular outdoor use, Premium Faux Leather B1 and B2 are the most robust options. Both versions are highly weather-resistant and water-repellent. Nevertheless, seat cushions should generally not be permanently exposed to all weather conditions. In heavy rain, snow, overnight or during longer periods of non-use, we recommend protected storage.
Which cushion thickness suits which seat cushion?
The right cushion thickness depends on the seating surface, the desired appearance and the sitting duration. Lekoni® uses the same high-quality foam with density 35 and compression hardness 5.0 for all seat cushions. Depending on the type of seat cushion, different thicknesses are available.

2 to 4 cm are especially suitable for chairs, stools, circle time seating and shorter sitting periods. 6 cm is a good choice for comfortable sitting on harder seating surfaces, custom-made cushions and many bench or lounge applications. 8 cm is recommended when particularly high seating comfort is desired or the seating surface is very hard.
Which fabric suits which seat cushion?
Depending on the type of seat cushion and configurator, different fabric collections are available at Lekoni®. For many custom-made products, Panama, Mali, Faux Leather, Premium Faux Leather B2 and Premium Faux Leather B1 are available. Tie-on cushions are made exclusively from Panama fabric. The available fabric and color selection can be found directly in the corresponding configurator.
For living areas, dining rooms, kitchens, children’s rooms, kindergartens and schools, Panama is a homely and easy-care choice. Mali is particularly suitable for more heavily used seating areas, hotels, restaurants and covered outdoor areas. Faux leather can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, making it practical for kitchens, bathrooms, restaurants, hotels, medical practices and areas with frequent cleaning.
For regular outdoor use and particularly demanding commercial areas, we recommend Premium Faux Leather B2 or Premium Faux Leather B1. Both versions are highly weather-resistant, water-repellent and significantly more robust than classic home fabrics. Nevertheless, even robust seat cushions should not be permanently exposed to rain, snow, standing moisture or all weather conditions.

The usual delivery time for seat cushions within Germany is 5 to 10 working days. For deliveries to other EU countries, 1 to 3 working days are usually added. Are the covers washable?
Panama and Mali covers are washable at 30 °C. Faux Leather, Premium Faux Leather B2 and Premium Faux Leather B1 are wiped clean with a damp cloth. Further information can be found in the care and washing instructions.
Are seat cushions suitable for outdoor use?

Are outdoor seat cushions waterproof?
No, complete waterproofness cannot be guaranteed for construction-related reasons. The covers are removable and made with a zipper. Even robust seat cushions should be stored in a protected place during heavy rain, snow, standing moisture, overnight or longer periods of non-use.
