Custom-made lounge cushions are suitable for garden lounges, pallet sofas, rattan furniture, masonry seating areas and individually designed lounge furniture. At Lekoni®, there are deliberately no fixed standard sizes: you specify the width and depth yourself and receive a cushion for the existing seat or backrest area.

This is particularly practical when the original lounge cushions are worn out, damaged or no longer available. The manufacturer and model of the furniture are not important – what matters are the shape and dimensions of the existing surface.

Replacement Cushions for Garden Lounges and Lounge Furniture

The frame of a garden lounge is often still completely intact while the seat and back cushions need to be replaced after several years. This is exactly where custom-made cushions are useful.

You do not need a model number or have to find an original replacement cushion range. Measure the actual seat or backrest area and configure each required lounge cushion individually.

This is suitable for, among other things:

• Garden lounges and lounge sets made of wood, aluminium, polyrattan or wicker
• Rattan and wicker sofas in conservatories or on sheltered terraces
• Modular lounge furniture with different corner and centre sections
• Older lounge ranges for which original cushions are no longer available
• Second-hand lounge furniture without known manufacturer or model information

If only the cover is worn or faded and the existing foam is still usable, a custom-made replacement cover may be sufficient.

Lounge Cushions for Pallet Sofas and Pallet Furniture

Custom-made pallet cushions are also individually manufactured by Lekoni®. For Euro pallets, dimensions such as 120x80 or 120x60 cm are commonly used. However, these are not Lekoni® standard sizes, but simply typical starting dimensions for pallet furniture.

What matters is the actual cushioning area you want. Depending on the construction of the pallet sofa, backrests, side boundaries or several pallets placed next to each other may require different dimensions.

Therefore, measure directly on the finished furniture even when ordering cushions for a pallet sofa.

Example Prices for Common Pallet Sizes

The following values show examples of what lounge cushions in commonly used pallet dimensions cost with a 4 cm cushion thickness. These cushions are also made to measure only after the order has been placed.

For a cushion thickness of 6 or 8 cm, the price is calculated in the relevant configurator after selecting the dimensions and material.

Custom-Made Seat Cushions and Back Cushions Separately

For a lounge, seat and back cushions should be considered separately. The two areas often have different dimensions and do not have to use the same cushion thickness.

A typical lounge set can consist of several seat cushions, separate back cushions and additional corner elements. Each element is measured and configured individually.

This offers another advantage: if only one lounge cushion is damaged later, the entire set does not necessarily need to be replaced.

Which Cushion Thickness Is Suitable for Lounge Cushions?

Lounge cushions are available with a cushion thickness of 4, 6 or 8 cm. We use foam with a density of 35 and compression hardness of 5.0.

• 4 cm: a flatter version for seat or backrest areas where the cushioning is intentionally kept more subtle
• 6 cm: medium cushion thickness for lounge seating areas, back cushions and lighter constructions
• 8 cm: substantial cushioning for hard surfaces such as wood, pallets, stone or masonry seating areas

Thicker cushioning changes both the seat height and seat depth. With back cushions, for example, a very thick cushion can noticeably reduce the usable seating area.

For this reason, seat and back cushions should not automatically be ordered with the same thickness.

How to Measure Lounge Cushions Correctly

Whenever possible, measure directly on the furniture rather than relying solely on old lounge cushions. Older foam cores may be compressed, distorted or changed after years of use.

Measuring Seat Cushions

Measure the usable width from left to right and the depth from the front edge to the desired rear edge.

Measuring Back Cushions

Measure the width and desired height of the backrest area separately. Take into account how far the back cushion rests on the seat and how much it reduces the usable seat depth.

Measuring Modular Lounges

Measure each corner, centre and side element individually. Even modules that appear identical can have slightly different dimensions.

The entered dimensions represent the intended finished dimensions. Due to the manufacturing process, deviations of up to approximately ±1 cm may occur.

One Large Lounge Cushion or Several Individual Cushions?

For very wide seating areas, several individual lounge cushions are often more practical than one single long cushion.

Several elements are:

• easier to carry,
• easier to store,
• easier to clean or replace individually when necessary,
• better suited to modular lounge furniture.

For a continuous seating area, however, one long cushion can create a calmer visual appearance. The most suitable arrangement depends on the furniture and the intended use.

Which Shapes Are Available?

Depending on the selected configurator, custom-made lounge cushions can be manufactured in different geometric shapes:

• square
• rectangular
• trapezoidal
• round

This is useful, for example, for lounges whose seating surfaces become narrower towards the back or for individual round stools and seating elements.

Free-form curved shapes, complex cut-outs and custom production based on templates are not available.

Which Material Is Suitable for Lounge Cushions?

Six materials are available for custom-made lounge cushions. Which one is most suitable depends on the place of use, the desired surface and cleaning requirements.

Lounge Cushions for Gardens and Terraces

Different cover materials are available for garden lounges, terraces or pool areas depending on the intended use. Textura Plus and Premium Faux Leather B2 are particularly suitable for regular outdoor use.

The respective outdoor properties refer to the cover material. The complete lounge cushion is not fully waterproof because of the seams and zipper.

During prolonged rain or longer periods of non-use, the cushions should therefore be stored in a dry place. Particularly thick foam cores can take a long time to dry if moisture has penetrated them.

Lounge Cushions for Rattan and Polyrattan Furniture

Especially for rattan and polyrattan lounges, replacement cushions can be difficult to find after several years. Even within the same furniture range, seat and corner elements can have different dimensions.

Custom-made cushions allow you to continue using the existing lounge and replace only the cushions that are actually needed.

Suitable seat and back cushions can also be made for wicker furniture in conservatories or on sheltered terraces.

Lounge Cushions for Masonry Benches and Seating Niches

Masonry seating surfaces, wall niches and permanently installed lounges often do not have standard retail dimensions. Custom-made cushions are particularly useful in these situations.

Because stone, concrete and wood themselves provide very little cushioning, the selected cushion thickness plays a greater role on these surfaces. 6 or 8 cm are often suitable, provided the existing seat height allows for it.

For Hotels, Hospitality and Commercial Areas

Custom-made lounge cushions can also be manufactured for hotels, restaurants, bars, holiday resorts, wellness areas and other commercially used lounges.

Several seat and backrest elements can be combined in the same material and colour. For larger orders, the Lekoni® volume discount applies.

If there are special requirements regarding cleaning, outdoor use or fire protection, the material should be selected according to the specific project.

Which Materials Are Available?

You can choose from Panama, faux leather, Mali, Textura Plus, Premium Faux Leather B2 and Premium Faux Leather B1.

Can I Order a Trapezoidal Lounge Cushion?

Yes. A trapezoidal version can be selected for seating surfaces that have different widths at the front and back.

How Large Can Lounge Cushions Be Made?

Square and rectangular cushions can be made up to 260x100 cm, while round versions are available up to 100 cm in diameter. For very large seating areas, several individual cushions can be more practical.

Can I Order Only a New Cover?

Yes. If the existing foam is still dimensionally stable and suitable, a custom-made replacement cover can be ordered.

Can I Order Just One Lounge Cushion?

Yes. There is no minimum order quantity. Individual seat or back cushions can be ordered just as easily as complete lounge sets.
