Which Stools Are Suitable for a 35 cm Diameter?

The chair cushion is intended for a round seating surface with a diameter of approximately 35 cm. Measure directly on the piece of furniture rather than using an existing or older cushion as a reference.

How Do I Measure a Round Stool?

Measure the diameter from one outer edge of the usable seating surface straight through the centre to the opposite outer edge.

Check the measurement in several directions. Some stools that appear round are actually slightly oval or have an irregular outer edge.

A round cushion should rest fully and securely on the existing seating surface. Significant overhang is therefore just as unsuitable as a cushion that is considerably smaller than the seating surface.

The diameter or side length is 35 cm for both versions, but the basic shape differs significantly.

Which Cushion Thickness Is Suitable for 35 cm Round?

The round standard chair cushion is available with a cushion thickness of 3 or 4 cm. We use foam with a density of 35 and compression hardness of 5.0.

• 3 cm: compact cushioning for piano stools, bistro stools and other regularly used round seats
• 4 cm: more cushioning for hard seating surfaces and longer periods of sitting

Keep in mind that the cushion raises the existing seating position accordingly. This can be particularly relevant for piano stools, workplaces or seats at a table.

If you need a different cushion thickness, custom-made round cushions are available in 4, 6 or 8 cm.

35 cm Round for Bistros, Cafés and Hospitality

Round chair cushions with a 35 cm diameter can also be used on bistro and café stools, provided their seating surface matches the size.

Panama offers a textile surface. Faux leather can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and can therefore be useful for seating that requires more frequent cleaning.

For requirements beyond the two standard materials, additional materials are available through custom-made cushions.

Daycare, School and Group Rooms

Care of the Removable Cover

The cover can be removed from the foam core using the zipper. The foam itself is not washed in the washing machine.

What Helps Prevent Slipping?

The complete cushion is not waterproof because of the seams and zipper. It should therefore not be left permanently in the rain or stored while damp.
