A bench cushion 100x40 cm fits particularly well on short benches with a classic seat depth. This size is often used for small garden benches, balcony benches, hallway benches, benches in entrance areas, compact kitchen benches or small dining benches.

The 40 cm depth offers more support surface than very narrow bench cushions and therefore feels more comfortable. At the same time, the 100 cm length remains compact enough for smaller benches, narrow niches or limited spaces.

• 6 cm: noticeably more comfortable and more voluminous – useful if the bench is very hard or if more seating comfort is desired.
• 8 cm: very thick padding for lounge areas, garden benches, deep seating surfaces and particularly comfortable seats.

Recommendation: For most bench cushions in 100 × 40 cm, 4 cm is a very good choice. If you want the cushion to be especially comfortable and visibly more padded, choose 6 cm. 8 cm is particularly suitable for lounge-style seating areas or very comfortable garden bench cushions.

• Mali: robust, breathable fabric for heavily used seating areas, living areas, hospitality, hotels and covered outdoor areas.
• Faux leather: easy-care standard option with a surface that can be wiped clean with a damp cloth, ideal for kitchens, hallways, entrance areas and uncomplicated everyday spaces.
• Premium Faux Leather B2: very robust choice for garden benches, balconies, terraces, outdoor hospitality, hotels, saunas, swimming pools, boats, medical practices and regular outdoor use.
• Premium Faux Leather B1: flame-retardant premium faux leather according to DIN 4102 B1 for care homes, clinics, medical practices, public facilities and areas with B1 requirements.

Note: Premium Faux Leather B1 is mainly useful when flame-retardant material according to DIN 4102 B1 is explicitly required. For most robust outdoor, hospitality and contract applications without B1 requirements, Premium Faux Leather B2 is the suitable choice.

Bench cushion 100x40 cm for garden bench, balcony and entrance area

The size 100 × 40 cm is particularly suitable for compact seating areas where a little more depth is desired. In entrance areas, a bench cushion makes hard hallway or shoe benches more comfortable. On a balcony, terrace or small garden bench, a matching cushion can significantly improve seating comfort.

For protected outdoor areas, Panama, Mali or faux leather can be a suitable choice depending on use. For regular outdoor use, we particularly recommend Premium Faux Leather B2 or, where corresponding fire protection requirements apply, Premium Faux Leather B1. Both materials are water-repellent, easy to care for and significantly more resistant than classic interior fabrics.

Important: Due to its removable cover with zip, the finished bench cushion is not fully waterproof by construction. In heavy rain, snow, standing water or longer periods of non-use, the cushion should be stored in a protected place.

Bench cushion 100x40 cm with fixing

Optionally, you can order your bench cushion 100x40 cm with fixing ties. These are attached as standard to the rear corners on the zip side and help to secure the cushion on the bench.

Alternatively, a suitable anti-slip mat is available in the shop. It is placed underneath the cushion and can be cut to size if required.

Measuring correctly for a bench cushion 100x40 cm

Measure the seating surface of your bench directly on the piece of furniture and not on an old cushion. Check the width and depth in several places, especially with older wooden benches, metal benches or handmade benches.
